Mercy Health is supporting Change Day 2016, a social movement which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and the Australian health and community care system as a whole.
Mercy Health Group CEO Stephen Cornelissen led a series of pledges from senior staff advocating for equity and inclusion.
“At Mercy Health we proudly live and work by our values, including compassion, respect and teamwork,” Adjunct Professor Cornelissen said.
“However, people-led movements like Change Day are important for us to recognise that we can always be doing more, particularly for the vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society.
“In 2016 Mercy Health staff are committed to continuing our work to support those in need, to taking a stand against bullying and harassment, and creating a positive work place which is fair and equitable.”
Change Day started in 2014 and gathered more than 15,000 pledges from across Australia. In 2016, it is aiming to collect 50,000 pledges.
