Mercy Health Foundation (the Foundation) is pleased to offer the following opportunities for employees to apply for scholarships made possible through funds donated by grateful family members who seek to help others make a difference.

 

Scholarship Name Background
The Maree Doherty Bursary The annual $2,000 Maree Doherty Bursary has been bequeathed to Mercy Hospital for Women (Heidelberg) for 10 years (commencing Nov 2022) to further support clerical staff who are passionate about furthering their knowledge and skills, and advancing their professional development.
The Margaret Beveridge Scholarship The annual $1,000 Margaret Beveridge scholarship has been bequeathed to Mercy Place Montrose in perpetuity in order to further support its employees who are passionate about furthering their knowledge and skills, and advancing their professional development.
The Alexandra Wilson Scholarship Alexandra Wilson was a baby in our care many years ago for 3 months. Due to the care she received her family wanted to create a scholarship (annual $1000) to support the Neonatal Intensive Care/SCN Unit to maintain the same excellent standard of care.
The Diana Morgan Memorial Scholarship Diana Morgan was a nurse in the SCN for 26 years. After her passing the family decided the best way to honour and acknowledge Diana, who had an abiding and passionate dedication to caring for the babies in the nursery, was to create a scholarship (annual $1000) to support the Neonatal Intensive Care/SCN Unit to maintain the same excellent standard of care
The Knights of the Southern Cross Scholarship Aged Care employee funded by Mercy Health Foundation, known as Knights of Southern Cross Scholarship Program (2 x $1000 annually)
The Bank First Scholarships

Bank First will provide four scholarships worth $3,000 each (x4 annually) to support Mercy Health staff to pursue professional development opportunities.
